BMW Welt
It seems that a massive cloud has landed near BMW’s company
HQ and is now connected to the museum of the Bavarian auto
manufacturer by a bridge. The architects planned the biomorphic
building with a flowing roof on a twisted double cone as the perfect venue for events, exhibitions, restaurants and the new car centre.
280 vehicles can be handed over here daily. The impression of the room is always moving both inside and out thanks to the dominating wave-shaped roof.

As you may know, I am studying Interior Architecture with interest in Product Design at ASU. God has given me both a passion for Design and People, and after a lot of consideration, I have decided now is the time to branch out and reach out to another culture/country. I really feel like I need to take my passion for design and share it with people who need it most.
I’m telling you this because I have been given the perfect opportunity to go to Namibia, Africa! A close family friend and missionary, Marcia Gilmore, is a principal and teacher of Liberty Heritage School in Ongwediva, Namibia. I shared my passion with Marcia and she has invited me to stay with her for a month to teach the kids and community Art and Design. I believe that anyone can build a mindset of design by simply looking for the problems in every day life, and wondering how it could be different. If I can teach the community in Ongwediva the mindset of design, then they can do absolutely anything in their community. It is a seed planted that can grow far after I am gone.
I need your help to make this trip possible. First and foremost, I need PRAYERS. I ask that you keep me in your thoughts and maybe say a quick prayer.
-For the community
-For guidance, protection, and safe travels
-For financial support
I need to raise $2500 by April 14, 2013 for the cost of a plane ticket, additional transportation, housing, and food for a month. If it is possible, you could transfer flyer miles as a donation.
Since I am planning this trip on my own, and not through an organization, you can donate through my church, Joy of Life. It is tax deductible. Marcia Gilmore is also affiliated with Joy of Life.
1. Just go to joyoflifechurch.com and click on the DONATE tab. It is processed through Paypal. Be sure to put “Namibia Trip” in the message box on Pay Pal so the church knows.
2. Checks can be payable to Joy of Life with “Namibia Trip” in the memo. The address/contact info is also on their site.
*I have hand painted a limited number of skateboard decks that I would like to give as a gift to those who donate $150 or more. They each are unique and are wonderful gifts for kids and teens or an art piece to hang on the wall. These will go on a first come first serve basis, and will go toward my fundraising for Africa. If you would like to see them, go to http://nuzzoskate.tumblr.com/post/43416745658/africa
After you donate, shoot me an email at npannuzz@asu.edu.
I want you to know that I am so incredibly thankful for every single penny and prayer. It means the world to me and it is an investment that goes further than you can imagine. I’d like to thank you in advance, however don’t feel obligated. Even if you can not donate, please forward this letter on to your family and friends. Everything helps!
Sincerely,
Nicole Pannuzzo

Classy Knoll: 1950’s Knoll associates catalogue-
Images from a Knoll catalogue probably from the late 40’s/ early 50’s designed by Herbert Matter. Herbert Matter replaced Alvin Lustig as Knoll’s graphic Designer in 1946 and was responsible for the Knoll logo and font which is still used today. It’s Amazing to think that some of these pieces- Barcelona chair, Womb chair, and Wire chairs are all still in production some 70+ years later! For Alvin Lustig designs see:
